-AUDITIONS-
Q: When are the auditions for the Team Millennia Juniors 2008-2009 team?
A: - Audition Piece will be taught on Friday, September 19th @ 6pm
- Audition is on Saturday, September 20th @ 12 noon .
- Final team rosters will be posted via website (www.tmdance.org) on Monday, September 22, 2008
**All of these events will be held at the TM Dance Center “Under the Bridge.”
Q: How old do you need to be to tryout or become a member of Team Millennia Juniors?
A: You must be at least 12 years old.
Q: Does it cost money to tryout for Team Millennia Juniors?
A: Due to increasing cost of business and demand for this year’s auditions, there will be a $20 registration fee.
Q: What happens to the $20 fee if I don’t make Team Millennia Juniors?
A: Unfortunately, if you do not make Team Millennia Juniors, the $20 fee goes to pay for the audition expenses of next year’s team. If you DO make TM Juniors, then you’re $20 goes into the overall TM Juniors account, which pays for choreographer fees etc….
Q: Who is the choreographer for the audition?
A: *Mike Dang (TM Juniors Artistic Director)
Q: What dance classes or training should I be attending to help better prepare me for these auditions?
A: *Pre-audition workshop - Wednesday, September 17 @ 6PM – Choreographers (Patrick Calderon & Edward Ramos)
Q: Who judges the auditions?
A: The interview session and actual audition will be judged by the TM Junior’s new executive board for the 2008-2009 season.
Q: What can set me a part from the other dancers at the audition?
A: Professionalism, dress, confidence, and a SOLID FREESTYLE will set you a part from the other dancers. Talking professionally, dressing with style, maintaining confidence, and performing a solid freestyle will open the judges’ eyes and opinions of you during the audition process.
Q: How many dancers will Team Millennia Juniors need for the 2007-2008 season?
A: Last year we had 34 dancers. This year we are looking for about 30 dancers. (15 Boys and 15 Girls)
-TEAM MILLENNIA JUNIORS (TMJ)-
Q: When does TM Juniors rehearse?
A: TM Juniors rehearse every Sunday 2pm-6pm and Monday 6pm-9pm. We will add Tuesday night rehearsals (6pm – 9pm) during the week of a major show or competition.
Q: How long is the season for Team Millennia Juniors?
A: The TM Juniors season is year-round (starting in September and ending in late August).
-PRIVILEGES-
• You are now a part of Team Millennia Performing Arts Center Inc. which includes: TM Tots, TM Juniors, Team Millennia, and TM Alumni.
• Work, study, and learn under a professional staff, world-known choreographers, and a caring family.
• Opportunity to be a part of a committee: Marketing: sponsorships or fundraising, Historian etc…
• Grow as a dancer, a leader, and a respected individual…
-RULES AND REGULATIONS-
Q: Do you have to have a certain GPA to maintain your status on TM Juniors?
A: We believe that school comes first, so dancers are required to maintain a 2.5 GPA and it will be checked quarterly.
Q: Does it cost money to be a part of the team?
A: Yes. This year each dancer is required to pay a $20 monthly fee in order to become a part of TM Juniors and TM Tots. Each dancer will have the opportunity to fundraise to help offset this monthly payment.
